Q: Everyone is able to use all commands, how can I fix this?
A: Go into server settings > integrations > Clockin bot. From here you can change the permissions for each individual command (it works that way for all bots that use slash commands).
Q: How can I make a mask?
A: You cannot make masks. There are 12 by default. You can view the list of masks in your server (/masklist), change their name (/maskchange) and turn them on and off (/masktoggle).
Q: How can I remove time from someone?
A: You can remove time from someone using the /add command, make sure to add a - (eg. /add user:@user mask:game time:-20 > removes 20 minutes in the game mask from @user).
Q: How can I set up role giving/taking?
A: You can make the bot give a different role for each separate mask (/settings maskrole) or make it give the same role for all masks (/settings onerole). You then have to enable role management (/settings giverole)
Q: I set up role management, but it isn't working. How can I fix this?
A: Make sure the bot's role is ABOVE all of the roles you want it to manage. Also make sure that the bot has the manage roles permission
If you're trying to get a bot to do something, NEVER EVER give it the ADMINISTRATOR permission! Almost no bot needs this permission, you are just asking for trouble. If a bot token gets stolen you will have your server nuked! And while the chances of this happening are slim, it is better to be safe than sorry!
Q: The bot says sent but never sends anything!
A: Make sure the bot has the embed links and send messages permission in both its role and in the channel you're using it.
Q: How can I use the button?
A: First you need to have one (or more) default(s) set. This can be done with /settings setdefault. The mask you set here will be the default for clocking in and out if someone ALREADY HAS THE ROLE you set. After setting a default you can use /button to spawn a button.
Q: Why does it say that only I can see this message?
A: This is called an ephemeral message and can be toggled with /settings ephemeral.
Q: How can I set up logging?
A: First set a channel to log to (/settings loggingchannel) and then enable logging (/settings logging).
Q: Why does it say that something went wrong logging this action as per this server's settings?
A: This can be due to a few different reasons. You might not have set a channel. You might have set a channel that the bot can not see. You might have set a channel that the bot cannot send messages/embed links in. Please make sure that all of these correctly set up for logging to function correctly.
